In 2019 we formed a corporation and got our 501c(3) non- profit designation thanks to Mrs. Debbie Nickles, Century’s Town Planner, and Mr. Robert Hudson, accountant for the town.
After our initial groundbreaking work day where only the kids had a bed finished thanks to our Pensacola volunteers – Ms. Judy and Jen….my mother(Kim) and I tried to get the beds ready for planting. We had decided on 10 beds. We found that because of our business we could not always join others on a given workday so we put in the work whenever we could which meant we were usually the only ones out there working at odd times.

Mr. Ben Boutwell our chairman and now town Mayor and wife Cheryl (treasurer) were able to get donations of soil and hay from local businesses to get us started. Our first major problem was water. We picked a location that gave us plenty of room to grow on the Century campus of PSC and yet not too close to the main college building. We did not want to be in the way of the school but water became an issue.
